This is handpainted Deerskin drum with striker.  It measures approximately 12" in diameter.  

Dewegan - drum in Odawa Indian language.  It is used for ceremony, blessings, honor, songs for balance and harmony, to call in spirits or move bad energy out.  Care of the drum use bear grease or rub with hand that is dampened with water to restore the tone.  

This is handmade by Corey Swanborg, registered with the Federal Government with the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians.  All animal skins and bone used in his work are responsibly sourced.
