This is cone incense which can be used on any heat safe dish.  Light the cone at the top and allow it to flame up for a little bit, then blow it out and allow the smoke to drift. 
Vampire Blood has a light fruity and slightly powder scent to it.  You get a wood undertone from the bamboo stick when it is burning.
